BookMerang coordinates book exchanges only. All shipping and delivery is handled independently between users via their preferred local courier service.

1. Delivery Responsibility

BookMerang is a platform that connects readers who wish to exchange physical books. We do not provide, arrange, or manage any courier or delivery service. All delivery logistics are the sole responsibility of the users involved in the exchange.

2. Courier Selection

Users are free to choose any courier service available in their city, including but not limited to motorcycle couriers, bicycle couriers, postal services, or in-person handoffs. BookMerang does not endorse, recommend, or partner with any specific courier service.

3. Costs

All courier and delivery costs are borne by the users. BookMerang does not charge for delivery, nor does it receive any commission from courier services. Users should agree on who pays for delivery before confirming an exchange.

4. Loss or Damage

BookMerang is not responsible for any loss, damage, or delay of books during transit. Any claims related to delivery issues should be directed to the courier service used. We encourage users to use trackable delivery methods when possible.

5. Boomerang Returns

For boomerang exchanges (temporary loans), both the initial delivery and the return delivery are the responsibility of the users involved. Users should agree on return timelines and courier arrangements before confirming a boomerang exchange.

6. Safety Recommendations

For in-person handoffs, we recommend meeting in public, well-lit locations. Never share personal address information unless you are comfortable doing so. Use the BookMerang messaging system to coordinate exchange details.
