1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BookMerang (www.bookmerang.org), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the platform.
2. Account Registration
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use BookMerang.
3. Book Exchanges
BookMerang facilitates connections between readers who wish to exchange physical books. All exchanges are conducted directly between users. BookMerang does not handle, ship, or take responsibility for the physical books being exchanged.
4. User Conduct
You agree to use BookMerang respectfully and in good faith. You must not list counterfeit books, misrepresent book conditions, engage in fraudulent exchanges, harass other users, or use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
5. Trust & Reviews
The boomerang review system is designed to build community trust. Reviews must be honest and based on actual exchange experiences. Manipulation of trust scores or fake reviews will result in account suspension.
6. Intellectual Property
The BookMerang name, logo, mascot, and platform design are the property of BookMerang. User-generated content (reviews, profile information) remains the property of the user but is licensed to BookMerang for display on the platform.
7. Limitation of Liability
BookMerang is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from book exchanges, courier services, or interactions between users. See our Courier Disclaimer for details on delivery responsibilities.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings.
